Designed to invoke its guiding principle that the best storytelling transforms us, the entire redesign and build have been crafted to work harmoniously with the magazine itself.
Says Billy Baxter, senior designer, Daylight: “It was a real joy working with such stunning editorial photography, and using this as a base to craft a world of colour, type and animation.”
Each element of this project has been designed to morph and evolve throughout the user journey. The new platform also features a fully integrated Shopify and e-commerce backend, along with a subscription management system for GALAH’s print magazine itself.
Says Kyle Hickey, UX and digital design director, Daylight: “This was such a beautiful project to work on. It’s a seamless collision of our tech and design teams, resulting in a digital presence that not only lives up to the elegance of the magazine but inspires ongoing support for independent journalism.”
Accompanying the build is also a suite of OOH and social collateral to help promote the platform’s relaunch and drive audiences from around Australia to have their stories read and told — no matter how remote.
