We're looking for a design leader to challenge and evolve Daylight's design practice, setting the standard for craft, user-centred thinking, and delivery across products, platforms, and brand experiences. This role will champion work that is world-class, future-proof, and ruthlessly focused on audience insights and needs.
About The Role
As Daylight continues to grow, this role will provide strong design leadership across our work and teams. You’ll elevate the quality and consistency of our design thinking, evolve our craft, systems, and ways of working, and ensure seamless application of design across digital products and brand experience as technology and AI continue to reshape design practice.
What Success Looks Like
Daylight’s work is recognised for craft, clarity and effectiveness. The design team feels confident, supported, and empowered to deliver consistently. Design systems, workflows, and collaboration across creative and technology are seamless, with emerging tools and AI-enabled workflows thoughtfully integrated into everyday practice.
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership and Craft: You will set and drive the creative vision for Daylight’s design practice. Along with leading end-to-end design oversight across products, websites, apps and brand experiences.
User-Centred Design: Leading with a user-first mindset across all stages of work, you’ll work closely with our product strategy team to inform UX, UI, prototyping and interaction design.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: Though we’re a small team, you’ll lead and mentor the design team. You’ll work closely with strategy, creative, motion, project and development teams, ensuring ideas are executed seamlessly.
Trust and Reputation: You’re confident in presentation and your ability to deliver clear, insight-led design thinking. With a focus on building trust with our client partners.
Innovation and AI: You’re able to explore and consider how AI can integrate into our practice thoughtfully, staying ahead of trends, software and tools that will supercharge our delivery and capabilities.
System and Process: Along with Studio Manager and Executive Creative Director, you’re motivated to evolve and improve design systems and workflows.
